How should you compare data erasure programs?
Start with the task. Are you removing individual documents, regularly clearing a working folder or retiring a computer? Then check the operating system, storage type, workflow and required record of the result. Counting overwrite methods says little about how a tool fits your work.

When might you choose MindVaultEraser over BitRaser?
If your task is regularly removing selected files on your own Windows computer, compare the everyday workflow first. MindVaultEraser lets you place documents in a special folder, use Ctrl + the left mouse button to capture files and review the plan prepared by EraseIQ™.
BitRaser File Eraser also includes automation and reporting in the documented Corporate edition. MindVaultEraser focuses on a straightforward document workflow: quick file selection, a plan suited to the drive and a local record of the result. If you need multiple computers, macOS or a particular organisational process, compare the appropriate editions. BitRaser Drive Eraser is a separate product and should not be treated as File Eraser.
What does MindVaultEraser add to the Eraser or SDelete workflow?
Eraser is worth considering if you want a free, open-source tool and prefer to configure tasks yourself. SDelete may suit people who prefer a terminal and understand the command parameters.
MindVaultEraser also serves people who want to review the plan, warnings and result in one interface. EraseIQ™ selects the method, while Chain of Custody™ links the record to a particular operation. That lets you focus on which files to erase and review what the application actually did.
Can any program bypass SSD and NVMe limitations?
You should not assume so. An SSD controller manages physical storage, and overwriting a logical address does not prove every physical copy was cleared. Supported methods and a clear explanation of limitations matter. A software report does not remove those limits.
Read how HDD and SSD erasure differ. Before selling a computer, you need a procedure covering the whole device, not just a few deleted files.
What does Standard include, and when do you need Pro?
Standard includes the supported erasure process, EraseIQ™, Quick Capture, the special folder and Chain of Custody™. Basic file erasure does not require Pro. The result and warnings remain visible after the operation.
Pro adds the report and PDF, HTML, CSV and JSON exports, automation, scheduling and email-triggered erasure. Pro Founders Edition has the same features as Pro; it is a launch offer. See the MatechCode Store for current prices and terms.
How can you decide whether it suits you?
Start with your own scenario: a few disposable files, the drive you use, a completed operation and a review of the result. Check whether the plan, warnings and report make sense to you. Do not use documents you still need for your first trial.
